C-CRIT

C-CRIT is a Custom Command Random Interval Timer.  What does that mean?  Let's take a look.

Random Interval Timer

It's a random interval timer, that means you specify a maximum amount of time between alarms and an alarm randomly goes off between 1 and that maximum amount of time.  So if you set the max time for 45 seconds and hit start the alarm might go off after 20 seconds, then again 14 seconds, then again 44 seconds later, then again 31 seconds later.  There is also a cool-down option that guarantees you so many seconds between alarm if, for instance, you wanted to make certain you had at least 20 seconds between alarms.

Custom Command

While C-CRIT can be used with just an alarm, the special thing about this app is that you can replace the alarm with voice commands you record yourself.  If you're doing a body-weight circuit training routine you can record commands like "squat", "plank", "lunge" and the app will randomly issue one of those commands to you.  If you're working a punching bag you can record commands like "jab", "cross", "lead hook", "rear uppercut" and again those commands will randomly be replayed to you while you're working out.

Additional Features

If you only want the commands to be random C-CRIT does have the option to enable a fixed length timer where every x seconds one of the recorded commands will be chosen.

There is also a round timer, that allows you to specify length of rounds, length of rest period between rounds, and number of rounds.
